Short List: The Mole

This is the first in a series of posts about indispensible items in my life. About a year ago, something, I don't remember what, sparked my interest in Moleskines. I picked one up, and now I could not live without one. I have gone through several and find using them to be a joy.

If you haven't tried one of these beauties, you have to pick one up. One of the things I love about the Molskine is that although it is a luxury, it is a very affordable one. You could use a spiral notebook that costs 39 cents, but for just about $10, a Moleskine is very rewarding and very high quality. They have substantial-feeling, acid-free paper, thread binding, hard, durable covers, and that cool elastic strap.

One of the standard lists I always keep in mine is "Places I want to travel. " Other standard lists include:
  • New recipes to try
  • Wish list
  • Gift list
  • Favorite restaurants
  • New restaurants to try
  • Favorite recipes
  • Maybe/Projects/Delegated/Next Actions GTD obsessive lists.
Visit Moleskinerie to read more about Moles and Mole People.

I write with a medium nib fountain pen and it bleeds through/tears up a lot of notebook paper -- is this paper heavy stock?

I currently do my list keeping with Rhodia notebooks, but will definitely give these a try if they can withstand my nib and ink.
