Back From The Mountains

Well the Ogden trip went quite well. A few days of sushi, a few frequent flyer miles picked up, a little reading accomplished. The weekend was relaxing once I got back. S and I perfected our whiskey sour recipe (S's new favorite cocktail) and cooked a few tasty meals. Here are pictures of my homecoming meal on Thursday night and tonight's meal. The lovely S greated me with roast chicken and croutons and braised leeks in tomato sauce with pancetta. Mmmmm... Oh no, looks like blogger is not capable of uploading photos tonight. Here is the recipe for the whiskey sour. Make yourself three and check back for pics tomorrow: One half ounce lemon juice, one half ounce lime juice, one ounce simple syrup, three ounces whiskey (we like Jack Daniels). Pour over ice in a cocktail shaker (Add a pinch of kosher salt to bring up the flavors). Place a marachino cherry in the bottom of a cocktail glass. Shake, pour, enjoy!
