I had an appointment at the doctor's office last week and that was a good enough excuse to take the rest of the day off. Perfect timing as it turned out, because the J Crew in Georgetown had just gotten its shipment of spring clothes the night before. Before shopping, I tried stopping by
Nathan's for lunch. No luck. There was a lunchtime Q&A scheduled and they were closed to those without reservations. I ended up at
Clyde's, and that was fortunate. One of their lunch specials was an incredible bacon and apple crusted salmon with Isreali couscous salad. They also had Guiness on tap. Clyde's never dissapoints. Unfortunately, Carol Joynt is closing Nathan's so I may not get another chance.
As for the shopping, I bought some madras shorts and a couple Lacoste polos.

Excellent fashion choices and totally smart to buy summer stuff early -- I just can't get into trying on madras with the whole arctic tundra nonsense going on outside.
