As I blog, the Summer Season is beginning. It is Memorial Day weekend, the weather is warm, and it is time for summer cocktails. While pregaming in preparation for a trip to Wolf Trap to see Prairie Home Companion, I stumbled across the realization that a G&T is not actually my favorite summer cocktail. My favorite is a Tom Collins. So there it is. The official cocktail of Summer 2007: The Tom Collins.
