The Sidecar Perfected!

This has been a thorn in my side for some time. My problem was a simple failure to balance tastes on this one. Cointreau is often described as sweet, but it really has a bitter overtone and needs lots of sour acid to balance it. I was not using enough lemon juice. Equal parts good Congac, Cointreau or Grand Marnier, and fresh lemon juice. Best if you strain the juice for a clear drink. Cheers!

Now on to the next cocktail. I feel like Champagne. Let's try Mr. Moonpie's technique and do one Napoleon style!
